Two-Week Practicum: New York Public Library (December 2007)

Co-op: Co-operative Education is an optional student work program offered through many Canadian universities. These highly competitive, full-time positions take place in professional organizations across Canada and around the world. I completed two work terms, totaling a full year, with McPherson Library at the University of Victoria. See co-op details in Experience.

Awards:

  • Received the Beverly Maureen Becker Memorial Prize for outstanding work in courses related to reference and information services
  • Received an Honorable Mention in the 2008 SLAIS Co-op Student of the Year competition
